Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and the Diocese of Grand Island is encouraging everyone to return to Sunday Mass on a regular basis, joining with their parish communities in the celebration of the Eucharistic Liturgy. Our Churches are every bit as safe as other public places. Come and receive the grace of the Sacraments with faith and confidence in the healing power of God at work in our worthy reception of the Body and Blood of Christ.
If you do not feel comfortable attending church we will still be live streaming 10:00 a.m. Mass on Sunday morning. If you would like a bulletin please call the parish office and let Marie or Michelle know you would like to have a bulletin mailed to you. The bulletins can be found in the back of church. The bulletin can also be found on this website, our Facebook page, and our Parish App.
Our Masses are still weekly at 8:30 a.m. Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 8:00 a.m. and 10:00 a.m. We will continue to live stream Mass at 10 a.m. on Sunday on Facebook for parishioners that are not able to attend Mass yet.
We still encourage our parishioners to mail your weekly contribution envelopes to our parish office, or set up online donations. If you are able to attend Mass there will be a place at the entrance of church to place your contribution in.
Our Catholic Parish Community welcomes you to our Church and thank you for visiting our website. We are a community of believers including St. Anthony's in Farwell and St. Joseph's in Elba. If you are a visitor or just passing through, we wish you well. Our mission is to be of service to others, provide a place of worship, and evangelize our faith in Jesus Christ. We pride ourselves on the faith formation we provide the youth in our parish. Whether you are a returning Catholic, a newcomer to the Howard County area, or someone with an emerging interest in the Catholic faith, I and all the parishioners of Sts. Peter and Paul welcome you to our parish family.
For over 125 years Sts. Peter and Paul church has been serving the people of Howard County. The present church was built 27 years ago. In the summer of 2017, we built a new parish life center. Our parish life center is used for parish celebrations, our youth CCD classes, and our annual bazaar.

Restoring the Sunday and Holy Day Mass Obligation
In previous conversations with the other bishops of Nebraska and with our Presbyteral Council, it was concluded that we would restore the Sunday Mass obligation at the same time throughout the state. Recently, Archbishop Lucas, Bishop Conley and I decided that we would restore the Sunday and Holy Day Mass obligation throughout the state on the weekend of Pentecost Sunday, May 22-23, 2021.
