Our Catholic Parish Community welcomes you to our Church and thanks you for visiting our website. We are a community of believers including St. Anthony's in Farwell and St. Joseph's in Elba.  If you are a visitor or just passing through, we wish you well. EW TO OUR PARISH!!!

     If you are new in our Parish, recently married, or at a different address than your parents who are members and did not fill out a Registration form please contact the Parish Office 308-754-4002. If you are sending your children to Religious Education classes and your family is not registered please take time and fill out a registration form IMMEDIATELY.  Registration forms can also we found at the back of the church, outside the Parish Office, on our website, or by asking Father Konka or Deacon Neil Baquet.


Are you looking for ways to get more involved in your church life? Our local CCW is in need of new parish reps. To find out more information about this role call Betty Van Dyke 754-4095 (Grand Island Deanery President)

The DCCW is also looking for ladies from our deanery who would like to serve on the Spiritual Leadership or Server Communions. If you are interested or know of someone who would like to get more involved call Betty Van Dyke


Mrs. Van Dyke is looking for singers for the 4th Sunday of Advent December 23rd. They will be practicing Wednesday, December 19th after the CCD Christmas Program. Grades 3 and up are welcome.

Youth Religious Education News

     Movie Night On Friday, Dec 28 at 6:00pm, the Youth Group is hosting a Movie Night at the Parish Life Center featuring, "The Star" animated film.  Hotdogs, chips, and drink will be served.  Please join in this family friendly activity

Youth Group Service ActivityWe are looking for 12 volunteers grades 6-12 to help serve a meal for the needy at Messiah Lutheran Church in Grand Island on Sat. Dec 22.  Serving meal from 4-6.  Please text Ann Rief at 308-380-0619 if you are able to help out.  Thank you for thinking of others during this Advent Season.

Catholic Daugther News 

  Catholic Daughters will hold their Christmas Party on Tuesday, December 18th at 6:00pm. with a potluck. Hostesss are asked to bring the desserts and everyone else a covered dish.      

  Catholic Daughters are collecting good used Rosary's. Please no broken rosaries. We will be collecting the rosaries thru December.  There is a bucket at the back of the church in St. Paul where they can be left.  Debbie Snow makes a yearly mission trip to Africa with many items for the Sister's and Orphanage's there. One request she has is for rosary's to pass out. Any questions contact Char Schmid

    


St. Anthony's Church News Farwell

          Offering envelopes for St. Anthony's can be found in the back of the church in Farwell. 

        Midnight Mass at St. Anthony's on Christmas Eve will be offered for all Deceased Members that have died in 2018: Mary Kezior, Larry Lukasiewicz, Tom Mrkvicka, Lloyd Lorenzen, Daneil Hurt, and Rita Gorecki.

The Rosary will be recited the last Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m. for anyone with special needs or prayers of thanksgiving.


Christmas Flowers

Anyone wishing to donate a Christmas plant in Memory of a loved one please leave the flowers at the back of church no later than Wed, Dec. 19th. Please have your name and the names of your loved ones on the plant. Names will be listed in the Christmas bulletin. There are flower envelopes in the back of church if you would rather make a donation.


 Knights of Columbus News

   The Knights of Columbus will once again be selling Christmas cards. Get your today in the back of church. 

 Knights of Columbus Spreading the light of Christ.Please join the Knights of Columbus after the 5:00 pm mass on Saturday, December 15th  to light up the outside nativity at Saint Peter and Paul's Catholic Church in St. Paul. Father Konka will lead in some bible readings, and then we will sing Christmas carols, enjoy hot chocolate and cider along with cookies. A Great Family Event.


St. Joseph's Elba News 

       Mass will be Celebrated at St. Joseph's Church on Saturday, December 15th at 6:30pm. This will also be the Parish Outreach Mass. Potluck dinner to follow in the Church Hall. If anyone has a suggestion as to who might be in need please contact Fr. Konka. 


   Christmas Caroling Sunday, December 23rd at 3:30 pm. Meet at the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Life Center 1st stop Brookefield, 2nd stop Matelyn. Cider, hot cocoa, coffee and christmas goodies to follow at the Sts. Peter and Paul Parish Life Center. All ages and vocal abilities incouraged to attend!
